High School Youth

We exist to shepherd and serve the high school aged students at Montavilla Church in order to help develop and strengthen their love for Jesus Christ. We walk alongside students, encouraging them in whatever walk of life they are in with Biblical teaching and mentoring friendships.

Eric & Mary Peterson // H.S. Youth Pastors

Mary and I have been serving in Montavilla's High School Youth group for over 12 years.  As students, both Mary and I had our faith deeply impacted by the high school ministry and want nothing less than to invest in our students in the same way. Our desire is to shepherd and love each student in our group and help deepen their love for Jesus.

High school is a time in which students need community.  During high school, we build foundational relationships that can last a lifetime.  With this in mind, the focus of our meeting times is to fellowship with one another.  We spend time in God's word together, listening and learning from the teachings of Scripture.  As a group, we devote time to worship and prayer, with relationship-building activities as a high priority.  We believe that strong bonds of love with each other are a gift we receive from Christ and help direct us back to him.
