Prayer begins in the Hinson Memorial Baptist Church for establishment of a Sunday School
1952
Our first property was rented and used to host four children's classes. Soon at capacity, two additional lots were purchased and more classes began.

MORE THAN A CHURCH
Montavilla Church is a community of Jesus' followers
located in the heart of the beautiful Montavilla neighborhood.
We encourage you to take one step closer.
Whether you've had a relationship with Christ as long as you can remember,
or have never heard of Jesus before, we believe God has placed a path in front of you.
The next step forward in our journey towards Christ looks different for each one of us.
We pray that you step into it boldly.
Our faith is rooted in the resurrection of Jesus which is the physical proof for our spiritual beliefs, so we follow him in all we do because he is our Lord and Savior.

What We Believe
We belong to a group of churches in the Northwest that is part of a worldwide group of believers that have voluntarily decided to associate with one another.
We are a part of this association because it keeps us connected, supported and accountable to others in the Christian community.
While each church has its own personality, this group is committed to the same set of beliefs.
What follows below is the identity document which is those common set of beliefs that binds us together. It is pretty technical theology but we have included a glossary of terms at the end to help you read through this with better understanding.
